I am heading in there on this weekend to put up some trail cams and just wondering what the roads are like in there?
Does anybody know?

Thanks

I was out there 2 weeks ago. Lots of hard work, daylight until dark, but we managed to get 3 cameras set up. No signs of bear, but the ticks were out and the grouse were drumming up a storm. Road was still craterville, potholes all the way. Any significant trees down on the main road were cut. The FSR's had some trees down but we didn't have a chainsaw. I moved this rock out of the way for you, so you can safely rubber-neck for bears on the way in without messing up your truck :)

This weekend should be a bit better. I'll probably be up that way checking a couple of the cams and checking to see if there are any groggy bears stumbling around.

FYI they usually start maintaining that road at the beginning of May. There will be lots of fresh gravel.

Now to switch into HBC mom mode... more people spin out and roll into the ditch or creek in May than any other month on that road. They take the blind narrow curves too fast and try to brake on the loose gravel when they see another vehicle. 40km/h + tight curve + loose gravel + brake = creek or crash. There's a few nasty head-ons every year. May is also prime windshield chip month. Most vehicles are flinging up a lot of rocks. I used to always get a few chips every May / June but now I just slow a little when I meet other vehicles. No more chips!! :)
