Next on my list is GPS. I'm looking for a chartplotter. With all of the closures/semi closures...hunt here but not here regs I wanns stay on top of where is legal...Nothing can spoil a trip as fast as that very familiar "Good Morning Sir" by a CO. When I was charter fishing off the west coast, we used chartplotters to mark closures and monitoring your locations told us within a matter of feet that we were legal or getting close. I want that kind of assurance.
Does anyone have experience with a reasonable priced unit that is user friendly? Right off the mark..I don't use Magellan..just my little quirk...Lowrance is my fav and I will go with garmin. All the others, I'd have to go and look at in person. I do appreciate your comments and suggestions.
