Tough shed hunting this year. Region 3 mulies still with antlers.

I have had a hard time finding fresh sheds this year. I have a few small ones already as do some of my friends, but some of my go to spots are empty of sheds but still lots of sign. My buddies in Logan Lake still have several mulie bucks walking around with antlers still attached. Maybe the easy winter makes for late drops. Just wondering how many of you are still seeing mulies with their headgear on around region 3/8. I might have to go re-hike a few areas.

Seen a nice 2pt out front of my house coming home from work one night last week...been out a bunch as well and haven't found any sheds

Ya I was up in reg 3 a couple weeks ago and put alot of miles on in my honey hole and found 7 sheds but not one from this year.

Saw 500 deer last week at the cabin, not one had wood.

I have read that deer tend to use the same summer range each year, but can shift winter ranges depending on conditions. Maybe the mild winters have caused a shift to other spots.

Saw a big four point walking around Quesnel a week ago.

I saw a couple mule deer bucks still sporting head gear last week in Region 3. I would also imagine that winter range may have been altered slightly due to the mild winter. I am not seeing as many deer around my house this winter compared to past winters that were colder.

We've had 3 bucks in the last week in our yard (North Shore of the Lower Mainland)... one had dropped, one had one on, and the third had his full rack still on.
