Looks to me like he has a distinctly black tip on the tail and judging by that, the length and size of the body it looks to be a Stoat....also known as an Ermine.

Judging by the furtive, cloak-of-darkness sneaky maneuvering and the close set, beady eyes, I'd guess it's either a weasel or a GOABC exec heading off to the back door of the legislature.

weasel, mink, ermine.
I think they're in pretty much all of north America.
I've had them play peak-a-boo with me while taking a sammich break while hunting.

First video is a flying squirrel, big buggy eyes, bushy tail, and gives away his profile at 0:52 - guaranteed!
Second video is either a short-tailed weasel (aka ermine), or possibly long-tailed weasel if in southern half of BC, hard to tell in video.

Video was taken on the same date and first animal is obviously very brown and most little weasels (ermine, long-tailed, and least) would have turned white already. Looks like flying squirrel has some worrying to do.....weasel looking for him 3 hrs later!

There are also black footed ferrets in the Fraser valley. Fun to watch them.

The Queen of England wore an ermine cape ........ white, with the tail tips. Probably not 'politically correct' now.

Pic looks like the 'short tailed weasel' ......... lesser weasel. They are referred to as 'ermine' only when they're white.

kinda looks like those martin that Marty the Alaskan trapper likes to trap in that show Mountain Men...you know the show? the one where the narrator has to end EVERY commentary with his dramatic voice "or the family will go hungry this year" LOL

I'd agree with this. I've got lots of video of both these species a fair bit closer

The first one is a wall-eyed squirrel. They get some kind of infliction causing their eyes bug out. Saw a few periodically at our place on Dragon Lake years gone by.
No doubt about the second one, everyone nailed that one.

Had one of those Ermine sneak into a cabin we rented at Big White, very fast and jumpy, Looked cute but you would not want to corner it. If it came at you I'm sure it would make a small hole right through you at the speed it moves.
