My neighbor saw 2 bears in his yard the other night. Early risers? I thought it would have been a couple more weeks anyway.

Bears

Were they in the Lower mainland ?

Pretty sure Ape is around the same area as me. I was thinking that maybe south or west of town there could be some action in the next couple of weeks.

Bears are known to come out of their dens for a short time and then go back in for a few weeks or more. I don't plan on even looking until the beginning of may unless we get some kind of tropical heat wave. Mike

I'm in Vernon right now and me and my dad went looking for sheds yesterday and found a bear track and some piles of crap. He's hungry! Lots of turned over rocks out there.

I was on a Ambulance run 5-6 dyas ago travelling WEST on hwy 20 at Sheep Creek Bridge over the Fraser River , I saw a medium/small bear in the early afternoon ambling along the sidehill....first and only one I have seen...even from the chopper calls.
I asked one of the C.O'S its usually one of the first places they are seen out.

30-06...I worked on the Ambulance in Princeton years ago..with Jim Fisk...seen bears out towards Tulameen..some at VERY CLOSE distances...

Seen griz tracks along the road today. Followed them in and he was eating on a bull elk. He must have had a full belly cause he wasn't around.
