I thought I would share some pics of my elk rack that I was finally able to hang on my wall. For the plaque, I used my chain saw to cut a nice piece of fir. I harvested this elk a few years back in the west Koots. It was my first elk and still the largest by far.

I like the simplicity too; well done.

Tactfully accommodating antlers in averaged sized homes can be challenging. I think that people really have to have "the right spot" for a head or shoulder mount of something as big as an elk or moose. Otherwise, it ends up feeling like you're living with Jerome the giraffe from the friendly giant - a big head and neck right in the middle of the joint. You may as well get rid of the cat & dog and start giving that swamp donkey a scratch under the chin on the way by.
