I've got a few sets of Vortex. I have a set of Diamondback 10x42 I would sell you too. They are great glass for the money, but I bought some swaro's this year so my wife will be using my Vipers.

I have Diamondback 10x42's and I think they're more than worth their money. Many friends of mine will look through them and comment how much better they are then theirs. Of course they aren't Swaro's or Zeiss, but for the $250-300 you'd be paying their honestly comparable to other manufacturers $500 models.

I have a pair, warrantied in the first 6 months, eye cup issues, fast turn around though....they are a fair value, not amazing but decent

Probably the best value in binoculars on the market.

whats the difference between the 8x42 and the 10x42.....which is better for glassing

10x will magnify the image a little bit more. 8x will have bigger field of view. Most guys go 10x in western Canada, 8x might be better for hunting in closer country

I just sent mine in within 3 months of buying for warranty repair last friday, the eye cups came off. They left the warranty dept today fixed and cleaned.....

So for the $ spent and customer support, they (brand in general) get my vote

I'll get something better one day but they'll do..

Id compared them with the vipers(not HD) and they are very close all I could see that the vipers were an extra couple hundreds....not really a big difference

Hey just wanted to say I just had a warranty claim with Vortex. I can not say enough about their product. Easy simple and you will be happy for sure. They handled my claim fast and sent me back a better product then I sent in. I have a lot of their optics and this is the first time I had to use the vip warranty.

Great product. Top Notch .

I have the 10x42 Vipers HP binos, the 15x45 Viper Angled spotter.the RRF 101 range finder and a 4-16 Diamondback HP scope, so far all of these items in the Vortex brand have worked well for me and I have not needed the warranty on anything.

I have had mine for several years. The spend their time bouncing around in the truck and my Sidekick when I had it. I have never had any problems with the Vortex Diamondback binoculars or their rifle scopes.

10x 42 bino seems pretty nice. Compared to other binos from same price point they definatly compete. And with there warranty I think they are a fair value

How would they compare with the Zeiss Terra bino's?

I can't comment on that. I haven't tried a Zeiss.

Have been using a pair for 5 years and no problems with them, does what i need them to do. Great for the money and customer services. I lost the lens covers during a hunt and call them up when I got home. They took care of me in a jiffy. they get my vote for best choice for your money.
