Im in the market for a new bow. Mainly for 3d shoots and target and maybe for hunting. I have a pse omen pro set at 72lbs draw weight and I love it and will keep it. Im looking for something easier to shoot and not too expensive. What are u shooting and would recommend

Mike go try shooting that Bear Carnage single cam they have hanging up at Wholesale. I am pretty sure it is used though as the stringstops have some wear. Might get it for a better deal... Super smooth drawing bow with Decent speed. If they wont give you a deal there is an Empire thats 30% off

ive heard horror stories from the bear bows and from that store from a buddy. i really want an elite energy 32 but out of my price range

The Only problem I have heard of with the bear bows is guys pressing them without the fingers. Bears customer service is the best in the business. Just try shooting one. Worst possibility is you dont like it. I think Bowzone mikey had an elite up for sale.

the reason i want an elite energy is because i shot my buddys and kevin beasleys when we were on the queen charlottes this past november. they both had zero vibration and were pretty quiet

Ooo, the G5 Quest bows are very nice aswell, were on my shortlist. And a little kicker that not too many people know about is G5 will replace your strings every year(or 2? Can't remember) for free. But! The bear single cams are smoother.

Pick a bow you want and then see if your can get last years demo model. I got a never used carbon spyder for 900 bucks a couple of months ago.

Elite makes some great bows, but I would not look past the G5 Quest bows if you want something more affordable. I have a few shot every model, and for the price, they are a good deal.

Those parallel cams on the G5 make a really weird hollow twang, kind of cool but definitely loud. Very smooth, very fast and no shock though. I recently shot a couple APA's, Bowtech carbon knight, Elite energy, G5 prime Ion and Hoyt charger all in the same weekend. The bowtech was the smoothest and quietest but definitely wasn't tuned off the shelf. It needed help. Best back wall though. The APA bows were horrible compared to all the rest. They need to redesign their cams. Super hard to roll over, not a very good wall and easy to creep. G5 was as I said, weird, but smooth and dead in hand. Elite was OK, nothing about it jumped out to me.

Bought the Charger. Hoyt makes the best off the rack bow, period. Busted knocks on the second grouping and shot a ragged hole round that scored 278 with a few flinches thrown in from getting used to a different release (I also haven't scored a round in over 8 years). Wasn't the quietest or the deadest in hand, but it shot the best. You just can't beat a Hoyt. $900 shipped home (I was on travel) in a new hard case with a QAD rest and a half dozen beman hunter pros. 28"/63# with 400gr arrows got me 265fps (28"x8.1gpi + quickfletch + nock/inserts + 125gr tips). I could pull it at 70# but wouldn't want to do it all day. May crank it up to 65-67# once I get my arms back.

As you are already in the PSE line...how bout a surge......32.5" axle-axle, you could get 50-60 lb and it's super quiet right out of the box. the IBO 320-312. I have mine at 57 #'s and my arrow speed comes in at 272 fps. I shoot PSE carbon weave hunters 29" and 100 gr tips with blazers. I paid $435 + taxes for mine back in Sept. ......my $.02

I have an Energy 32 and an Energy 35. Buy one. You will sell your Omen anyways and get some money back.

If I were to sell the omen pro because of the elite I would go 70lbs

Why not sell the omen and just spend money on a bow you can archery hunt and 3D with. You're not going to love a cheap 3D bow for long. Besides, you'll shoot the 3D bow way more.

Ya but I won't get much for the omen.

Thing with the omen, is its an "old" bow now. Retail on those were around what, $999.99? now the new Full Throttle is $1,099.99.

Also the issue now is the canadian dollar has tanked from when you bought it, and the price of a brand new bow is going up to reflect that.

I would say keep the omen, buy a new bow for 3d and have two different set ups. This does two things. One, you have a back-up bow incase s%*@ hits the fan, and two you don't have to tune or re-sight your bow after you switch from broadheads back to fieldpoints at minimum twice a year.

With my omen I don't have to retune from field point to broadheads and. My muzzys shoot exactly like field points

My son shoots a 70# Elite Hunter It shoots great. My 32 is a 65#er and is a dream to shoot. My 35 is my 3D rig and I shoot it at 60# and it feels amazing.
