Not sure on the exact dates but results are usually in by mid to late March. Deadline was Feb 6th.

I emailed them the other day and havent heard back yet, but when I was drawn in 2010 I found out around this time.

Bout this time every year, the official "when" thread appears. The only thing you can be sure of...... it will be posted on here probably within an hour of being made official. As for when, the gang at the leh office are a good bunch who try to accommodate in sometimes trying situations, they will get it out as soon as possible, us bitching it along hasn't made them appear any faster as far as l can tell. :)

Thank you, yes I now know that I can check online - that is why I started this thread. The lesson has been learnt and I take full responsibility. I replaced most of her shoes. She no longer walks with a limp. The dentures look great...

It will be early March. The season opens on April 1st, they're not going to let us know 1 week before the season starts.

Why can't the draw be done sooner????? Last email i got said the draw should be done by the end of the month. It's not like there's 20,000 applicants. In 2010 when I was drawn I knew by the middle of February.

Just to bend this thread a little, not hi-jack it..I hunted in the Kemisis Creek area south of Tumbler a few years back for elk in the fall. I counted 22 grizzlies in about 5 days, and a sow and 2 cubs destroyed our camp on day 5 so we had to pack in the hunt. I checked the regs for griz tags,,,,better chance of winning the 649...whats up with that???

Ya there's plenty there for sure we really had to watch it with a critter down. Lived in tumbler a few years and couldn't believe they weren't letting more draws go

Unfortunately, you were not successful in the sheep draw. Your first choice odds were 5.2:1 which represents 130 hunters applying with the same first choice hunt code on their application cards as you had.

You won this hunt code from the check mark at the bottom of your application card stating you would accept a substitute hunt if you missed out on winning either your first or second choice. So, you did not win either your first or second choice hunt code but an alternate hunt in the overall area of your second choice, which was the Omineca area.

Your first choice odds were 4.0:1 and your second choice odds needed to be under 1.0:1 in order for you to win as a second choice, and they were 7.0:1. Your authorization should be printed and on its way to you soon. By next week any Service BC Centre should be able to provide a duplicate copy in case you do not receive your authorization prior to when you are planning to leave.

He's a government worker and gets paid regardless of when the draws are put up, my guess is he could care less when the results get posted and laughs everytime he has to answer a phone call or respond to an email. Hes going home at 430 and showing up at 8 even if the draw doesn't happen. So for the rest of us sitting here waiting let him do his job.

You were successful in the Spring Grizzly draw. You won your first choice, hunt code 3177, which I believe is for management unit 7-17. Authorizations will be printed and mailed soon and if for some reason you don't receive yours before you need to leave you can obtain a duplicate copy at any Service BC Centre as of next week.
