Are you looking for digital or physical maps?

You can get them for free off of iMap. It's a government site, you just need to play around until you find the topo layer. I think they are 20m contours.

They have a great selection, but the girl that works in there is worth the trip alone.;-)

For BC's free 1:20,000 PDF maps: http://geobc.gov.bc.ca/base-mapping/imagery/topographic.html

Click "Launch Application" and zoom until you see the grid, then click the weird three-square things and click "View or download: Map (http://pub.data.gov.bc.ca/datasets/177864/pdf/082E/082E094.pdf)"

They're 28"x44", weird size to print.

My buddy got some really nice maps made up for our spots...I asked him where he got it done and this is what he did. He found the maps at www.geogratis.gc.ca ,, downloaded the maps he wanted & took them to a local print shop but they were only able to print them black & white on ordinary paper. (Printers may be better now). To get the paper coloured copies, I went to International Travel Maps & Books in Richmond.

I bought a bunch of topo maps from canada map store for my tuchodi elk hunt a couple years ago. Very nice maps and were very fast with their shipping.

Geogratis is 1:50 k topo. Very nice quality but roads are older than trim maps from the province (1:20k).
