I just wanted to say "Thank you" to everyone to attended the rally today. I was unable to make it as I had to work (second day this month) and I know everyone had their own reasons for being there, but its appreciated by many of us couldn't be there.

Ditto! Thanks everyone for taking your time out of your weekend to attend. Many put on some pretty serious miles to be there.

Although I couldn't be there, I was inspired to send a new set of letters today. And am going to set a reminder in the calendar to do so every 4 weeks. No backing down now!

No doubt! You couldn't ask for better! The road up from the coast was clear and dry……. this morning, not so much. Snow all the way back to within 25 minutes of Hope but the trip up was well worth it. My Duratracs had no issues at all. What with the uglier weather conditions today I'm sure glad it was yesterday instead of today. The hunting gods were definitely on our side!

I heard different numbers regarding the attendance….1000 all the way up to 2000. In any event, there was a lot……. and the meassage was LOUD and CLEAR! There was also a great deal of supportive honking from the vehicles that passed the long parade of people which was good to see.

BC resident hunters as far as the eye can see:

It was great that the organizers had some form letters to choose from for this event for those who didn't bring their own. The speakers were fantastic, especially Dan Brooks, a former outfitter and the current the leader of the Conservative Party, who gave a very passionate, spirited speech. On the other side of the coin, there was also a couple of female vegans there with their signs buzzing about voicing their opinions about having to kill wildlife for food. I guess that was to be expected. They reminding me of a couple of mosquitos that found their way into your tent at night and did their best to pester you but in their case the repellant of 1000+ resident hunters was much too strong for them to even have to worry about. LOL

Nothing but good should result from this rally. Good job, everyone!
