Hey csir11 , I appreciate your support of Traditional Archery . Your proposed contest will involve but a very few and the "money thing" has a way of encourageing the commercial instead of the participation aspect of Archery .
As much as i respect your idea may I suggest the following - The two doller entry fee would be fine but the contest open to ALL trad archers . The monies divided as stated would be fine . But the winner would be determined by a secret spot on an unknown target (each day). Thus any Trad archer young , old , newby or acomplished would have a fair and even chance . Instead of a Competion it would be a " TradLotto ".
Either way I will support your Clubs venture , may I say that the Traditional aspect of archery is growing to the extent of being the largest Class in recent years at Abbotsford Indoor 3-D .
Cheers ....

Sounds interesting, I will pass along to the organizer of this wooden arrow shoot and let you know their decision.

Maybe I'm missing something here but as I read it, I could post a score with if I shoot wooden arrows out of compound!:-P

Not sure about a compound and wooden arrows? Ask Gary or Brock at the event if the dark side can shoot wood lol

Wood arrows of any type are NOT to be launched from compound bows . The stress of launch very easily may result in part of the wood shaft lodged in your hand or wrist . It would be tough to use your mulligan . If that wont deterr you than the dry fire effect and damage to your bow will . If you further insist than the "happy face" on your score card may .
Basic rule - dont......

All kidding aside guys, Greybark is right! DO NOT try to shoot wooden arrows out of a compound bow. There is a reason you don't see Morgan ash framed cars racing on the F1 circuit.
