Well, my LEH for a cow elk expires February 28, I better get my rear end in gear! Anyone knows of any farmers up there who want one culled?I'll try and call the local CO on next week and see if he knows of anyone.Cheers.

Steven, most disappeared in the chinook we had all of last week. Up here in John, we were down to 10" and the fields were even less. Dawson had even less snow. But we have cold temps and approx. 3" of fresh snow for this week....watch the weather reports, supposed to be warmer next week (-7 to-12).

Bring something for your shoes to give you traction on ice while walking. Most places its a skating rink with 3" of fresh snow to hide it. Your tail bone with thank you lol

Hmmm good point..thanks...I have a set of spikes that slip on my boots...from way back in 2013 when I worked..and a spike that attatches to my cane...seriously.
I am on the short list on call for hip replacement...however my sister lost her job so am willing to give that cold a go to try and get a elk...
Great tip on the cleats...snow last year was 4 feet deep in places..

Srupp bring chains for your vehicle if you have them. We were up in Dawson two weeks ago for our antler less draw and some roads were like a curling rink. Our truck turned into a curling stone going down a slight hill and we ended up stuck in a snow bank for 2 hours.

Theres 2 different draws up there, the one your brother has for either sex and the antler less one which has more tags. Most landowners will only let cows be shot on the either sex tag though.

Nice n cool today with about a coupe inches of new snow in last 24hrs. Cleared up today sitting at -17 with -25wc. Fields for the most part are bare with few snow patches. Was traveling back from a ranch and in the field was about 50 whities.

My dad has the anterless draw, looking to come up from pg the weekend of the 14, willing to trade beer or cash for a bit of Intel on any farmers that are having problems.

My brother and I both have the Draw for 7-20 zone A. We are heading up there on the 16th. If anyone knows a buddy or two that want 2 less antlerless elk send me the info please and I will get into contact with them.
