backroads between Chetwynd and Dawson Creek

Planning an elk trip this coming week to that area. Any reports on snow conditions or the backroads? Any othe hints?

Was on that hunt beginning of last week near Dawson Creek. Some roads were fine and clear while others had snow and were like a curling rink.

as was said... anything that was snow-packed is now very slippery. Any dirt roads are now very muddy. It will all firm up by the weekend

Was +9 this morning with 70K winds. Now is +6 and still windy. If the roads were plowed out they will be pretty well muddy and wet, if not then they will still be snowed in.

Supposed to get cooler and some snow later this week.

The elk were in the fields a couple weeks ago, but the warm weather has them back in the thick stuff until first and last light, if at all.
