My Mont bell Im finding is too warm for the Aug sheep hunt ,so was thinking of maybe a new bag, something that is not as warm ( 0 and above). Like something obviously lightweight and compact, wondering what people are using..?

The day you go with a summer bag you will be cursed with a cold early season hunt. It's just the way it works!

I rock a Thermarest Haven bag rated to -8... I've gone june to early october comfortably earing thermal underwear in mid October... and I'm kind of a puss whwn it's cold at night

Hot nights are a good case for a cotton bag liner , just enough for a layer on the skin , then any bag over can be moved/removed as needed.
I'm a firm believer of the multi layer system , liner/light bag/medium bag allows for many combos

Unzip and use as a blanket for early season.I always carry this bag with me and a bivy for summer overnight training and in my day pack for emergency kit during hunting season.http://www.outdoorgearlab.com/Ultralight-Sleeping-Bag-Reviews/Feathered-Friends-Rock-Wren

I have the Zpacks 20F/-7C bag/quilt. 16.7 oz and it packs down really small. Because it is a quilt design, I find it works excellent in the warm as well as freezing weather. Example was this Sept Sheep hunt N. BC/Yukon where we had 65 degree weather when the floatplane dropped us off. only to find a week later at 5500 ft sub freezing temps. Got snowed in for three days up top. Have used this bag on a few trips now and works great in all temps.

Who sleeps? Don't you just wait, uncomfortably, for day to break...???

I run a little 3M bag with thinsulate. I'd have to check the specs, but it's been great over the years.
