Can anyone tell us how much of B.C.'s non-park land is owned or controlled by foreign interests? That is: logging, mining, ranching, tourism (resorts), summer/winter retreats, etc. Anything that may limit hunting/fishing access for residents.

Most forest companies are Canadian (Canfor, West Fraser, Tolko, Western Forest Products).
Most mines are operated by Canadian companies (Teck, Imperial Metals, Taseko).
Natural Gas is a mix (Canadian - Encanca, CNRL) & (International - Apache, Petronas)
Don't know about the rest.

I think that unless it's corporately owned you'll have a hard time finding out. Land titles doesn't track citizenship as far as I know. That's one reason why nobody can answer the question of how much foreign buying is driving up Vancouver real estate prices. We're living in a free country (at least for now!)

ok, that's not the one I was thinking of. Thinking of the one by Waneta. A "Duke" or something like that own's an entire mountain range and there's no access.
