This is for rock fish in the ocean. I don't think there is a catch and release on them but people do catch them unintentionally and because they can't keep them they throw them back.
It's pretty weird if you ask me.

Ok that is kinda neat! Maybe this will help with some of those dwindling red snapper populations?

Yes, and I'm sure it magically repairs their shattered eyes as well....
