I'm going to be treating myself to a really nice rifle this year (probably a Cooper Excalibur in 6.5 Creedmoor). I want to do some shooting out to 500 yards with it and am thinking about topping it with a Swarovski z5 with their ballistic turret system. Has anybody used their turret? Is it reliable and repeatable??

Thanks!

yep it works pretty well. I zeroed mine at 200 then set the turrets for 300,400,500 and it was hitting gongs everytime.

My Leupold turret system works great and is repeatable every time......So if Leupold can do it Im sure Swaro will have no issue with it....lol

This is exactly the setup I'm wanting

The only thing I don't like about it is that you quickly run out of elevation if you want to shoot farther. You have a maximum of 58" at 100 yards which means you will have +/- 29" if your scope is centered, but you only have 58 clicks per turn, which is 14.5". So with the Ballistic Turret you are limited to 1 turn. You should figure out how far that will let you shoot with the load you anticipate using. The VX6 has much more adjustability and is easily the equal of the Swarovski optically (plus it has a superior eyebox).

I don't have experience with the bt yet, trying to order one online waiting for w reply, but I do have the z5 5-25 BRX and love that scope to death. I got the scope zeroed at 200 and the bottom reticle is good for 770. Be nice to have the turret as well though.
