Is there another way to determine the tide times in the Pitt River other than to add an hour to the New Westminster tide table?

Yes, add 60 minutes. ;-) Sorry, I had to. What's so hard about doing it that way?

To be honest, It was somewhat of an educated guess. I was wondering, however, if the Canadian Hydrographic Service had predictions for regions upriver of New West.

I've looked into the same information....apparently adding 1 to 3 hrs, depending on your
location, is only a loose guideline. It's difficult to predict upriver times accurately on a
consistent basis because of the changing river outflow volumes, direction and velocity of the
winds, and the actual amount of 'high-low' tidal fluctuation.

I have found that +2hrs from NW is about as an "average" acurate as it gets. As BL stated, take into acct the other factors...and run around out there during super low tides and GPS some of those nasty dead heads.....
