With a cancellation hunt open I decided to bring up another WW this time to chase lynx. SSG (ret) Timm Gunderson was wounded in Iraq after serving 11 years.
We chased a couple lynx, despite cold temperatures and deep snow the dogs still got it done. After a nine mile chase through spruce blow down we decided the dogs needed to see this one hit the ground.

x2! Having the opportunity to experience such an adventure, especially with a person of your caliber,
getting caught up in the adrenaline rush of the hounds, and enjoying BC's fantastic outdoors is something
that they'll never forget. It's the best medicine they can receive to take their mind off the horrors of war.

Chilcotin, If I ever hire I guide, you'll be the guy.

Although I admit to not reading 95% of it, I admire the way you've stood up through the allocation debate and I've always admired your posts on the Wounded Warriors trips.

Good for you and the hunter.

Hmmmm the point most folks miss about Doug is the time and effort ensuring his dogs are the best for the job...and then the hundreds of hours training them and keeping them and himself in shape..these dogs are pedigree bred for the job...
Also scouting and watching trends, locations and game animals..equipment upkeep..like skidoo pull cords lol..clearing some prime trails ensuring the clients cabins are constantly updated...its a everday all year constant work in progress...someone said...train hard to hunt easy...there are no easy hunts..but Doug always has done everything prior to each hunt to ensure the clients have the best opportunity at their dream hunt..but it doesnt just magically happen it is the result of years of experience and all year long with details that results in all the happy grinning clients...and with all the time consuming details and costs involved Chilcotin freely donates to the WWIA...
Class act all the way around....highly recomended...Im sure there will be many more ear to ear grins coming this winter spring.....
