Everyone on the fishing forums need to get this message across.

If Guides can roll all over hunters, the fishing Guides Ops will say "Well, that was easy" and go for the fish. We need all out doorsmen under one roof, even if it means starting a Fisheries Directorship within the BCWF. I know there are stream enhancement projects, etc, but they must be braided with the rest of us. A braid of ten wires is more than 10x stronger than 10 wires alone.

It's already happening to some extent look at the DLCC issue.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

this would be the worst thing fishing guides could do. no chance they are that dumb. right now they have free reign to kiill as much as they want under the recreational umbrella and allocation. it doesn't get any better for them.

Lorne, you mean the way the "Game Guides" had it back in the day when all they needed was a pack string and a bit of knowledge. I bet they all thought it would last forever back then I know my Gramps did.

exactly actually. and the time is coming for a guide allocation . Alaska already has it. But i dont think any guide with a brain would push for it

No I agree BUT once the Govt. implements something it will go down hill from there so much better to be already armed than not.

This was done with the halibut catch. What makes you think the guides(commercial sport fisherman) can't do the same thing. We must remember the "golden rule", the guys with the gold make the rules.

Commercial fishing guides , commercial hunting guides do I see a trend starting here ? Selling our fish + wildlife to the rich non residents .

it would/could only be an issue with say the salmon fishing.
hali fishing, ocean-type fishing.
and to a degree, it already exists, with commercial fishing etc.
I really don't see it ever affecting mountain lakes or fishing in general.
how would it ever impact C&R?
