hey every one.
This story was a few months ago just haven't had time to post.
I just got back to the coast from up north and I was heading back up to a new job after the last company had a paycheque bounce.
I got up there on a Monday to find out the guy changed his mind. I stuck around 2 days. my land lord throw me out I had no luck on work.
So I decided to make my way home back to the coast except a few buddy's wear on a hunting trip 8 hrs away so I decided to join them.
They had LEH I was after bear and deer. this was the first time I hunted away from the coast and I have harvested a few bears before.
well things wear slow in the start. we wear in lac la hache area so I figured there must be grizzlies around and I have never seen one in person so I was hoping to see one.
the first evening my buddy got his black bear. we wear looking for moose. and I was a little jealous it was a big bore. A few evenings later we ran into my bear this was the one that changed my mind on bear hunting. I have never had a bear take 6 bullets and not die and charge me. I had a .270 my buddy had a .338 I took the first shot this bear turned and charged us we made 8 shots total to finally expire this bear. I thought it was a bore from the size and all well going throw this bear more it was a 6ft sow never had cubs in her life, I was surprised when we got to camp one guy has hunted there 12 years now and has never seen a black bear this size let alone a sow. she's 6 ft 350 lbs. I was always told that coastal bears are larger than interior bears but this makes me wonder.
