I made a trip down to Penticton today and stopped to photograph the goats on the way home. Only saw three - and this guy was the closest to the road. Wish I could have had more time to get closer pics. Looks to be a pretty decent specimen..

Thanks, JP. These goats live in a pretty good climate for horn growth. Gonna have to get a little closer next time for clearer pics.

That's a nice goat, great pictures. I would be not thinking twice if he popped up in front of me as long as it was legal of course.

Nice high game fence keeps them away from the traffic . Herd hasn't grown much been 15-20 for the passed 10 + years . Need a good burn up there to keep up the under brush .

Good goat! I'd say 10 2/8" by 5 7/8" and he doesn't look that old.

I think that's likely in the ballpark, BCbillies. The goat I assisted a friend with a couple years ago was 10 5/8 and was only 5 1/2 years old. This goat appears to have pretty good bases.

Don't know a tonne about goats but was thinking the same thing. Looks like big horns for the body size, especially with his winter coat on. Saw one this year right beside the highway coming up the hill out of Merrit this year! Nothing like that one but a bit of a surprise for me there.

Very nice goat. Thanks for sharing. Unless that is a midget goat my money is on him being a book animal,

Road smokers take note.

Thanks for sending the pic, 358! Those heavy bases do make it look like this is the same billy.
