Just trying to balance holiday time with and the family time and sneak up to get a couple days in for antlerless elk in the Peace. Any reports?

Hmm heard it was cold but just 20 inches of snow elk inisolated pockets...have a tag also

I don't think we have 20 inches of snow around the Fort St. John area - closer to a foot I would say. Generally I think there are fewer elk around, but the cold weather has the elk out on the slopes and bothering ranchers' hay stacks. The temperatures are supposed to moderate significantly over the next couple of weeks.

Chetwynd area, probably around a foot and a half of snow or so depending where u are at. -15 temps got the elk on the hill sides and running around the hay piles. Just try and be up here when it's cold, watch the forecast and when temps go down best to get out there. Been seeing lots through the last cold stretch. Good luck
