This pup shows drive and retrieve ability. Both parents swim flat and well. Just turned 10 weeks, needs talented dog trainer.

Sir, I still have 2 pups left. One will make a good hunter. Mouthy, birdie.
I'm sorry I didn't reply to you earlier, I have been busy with this boy and two others doing puppy obedience classes and socialization.
Modi (formerly Creamo) is doing quite well, I am not at all disappointed with him. Did you check out the facebook page? I am keeping a smaller puppy from this litter. Modi will mature with height and weight typical of Standard Poodle.
Last night was puppy class in Sidney. Had a lab pup to might right, and another lab pup on my left. we did 15' retrieve with thrown toy. Modi did better than the labs because he was the only one to bring straight back to hand. He has potential.

Good to see hunting poodles. I wish mine was more of a hunting than a beer drinking poodle.

Years ago I shot over a liver Standard Poodle, he was one of the best long distance markers I have ever known. In the beginning my friend wanted an Irish Water Spaniel his wife wanted a poodle guess who won lol. His registered name(much to the breeders shagrin) was "Paris Night's Mr. O'Malley". When O'Malley was ready to be groomed my friend took a photo of an IWS in with him and explained that was how the dog was to be groomed for ever more, no pretty blue bows thank you. Aside from being a fine gundog, O'Malley had 1 'parlor trick'. If he heard the word poodle, he would growl, turn his a$$ and walk away. Don't ask me how he was taught that.

Ha,ha yes at a young and tender age of 8 weeks.
I didn't have a clue what I needed to do when I got him 4 years ago.
He does retrieve balls, but not game. I tried him with grouse and he wouldn't pick him up.
He does have prey drive but is a bit of a sissy and at this point I gave up.
Somehow I think he could retrieve with a lot of training because of that innate prey drive, but I don't really have the time.
He is from De Medici poodles and is a perfect house pet.
