Has anybody been in the Yalakom lately?
How much snow and how is the road conditions up there?
Any info will be much appreciated.

It's been years since I've been there.
I remember a few spots on the road were really sketchy.
I am curious as well to know how the road into Yalakom is.
Would like to revisit it again...next year??

Took the wife up top for a camp out this summer. Road is way too good going in as a minivan of oriental tourists was taking pictures of red and French mountain! I used to hunt this area yearly for the sept 1 opening but the deer disappeared! Saw more than usual this summer so I wouldn't mind wandering some alpine next year too. I never did have much luck late season back there.

Road is usualy in "decent" shape. Can get pretty iced up as most backroads this time of year. Chains are always a good idea!

Thanks Gilmore, that could be dicey.
Still open in 2-6 to 2-8 but I'm guessing must be a lot of hunting pressure in these areas.
