I left the thread on Friday (Okay, OK whitetail?) as I mentioned I should get out there in hopes of finding something to boast...I mean post!!! about lol Found this guy yesterday. Not a brute, he looks like an older guy, not a rack that says taxidermy (3X4) and daaaamn, I need a shave and a hair cut... aaaaand GO! lol Yeah, it's the same 'ol .270. ;)

Looks like your a lot greyer in the hair department from those earlier pics, unless that's snow....good meat buck. :)

Don't apologize, hunting can get messy, and I prefer big bold blood trails, though with TSX's you rarely get them.

what was the bullet, distance, shot placement?

Trotting, (seen me waaaaay before I seen him) 180-200 yards, 130gr. S.P., standing position. 1st. shot a bit low and front (chest) (bullet cut visible on left forearm) and dropped and was break dancing on his side, second shot to his left side as he lay on his side (behind shoulder) and he stopped.

Nice one two punch! (I've never been a fan of break-dancing ;-), pretty sure I wouldn't like it from a deer)
