Got this guy yesterday morning. Arrived at my spot just as dawn was breaking and glassed him with a doe from half a mile away. Then it was a marathon of scurrying and crawling through the weeds to get close enough. Just made it as the doe started drawing him away to heavier cover. After field dressing him, I had to drive the car back to town and round up my son & his truck. We returned to the buck, loaded him, and were just about to turn onto the main road when we spotted another similar buck and doe standing less than 100 yards away looking at us. Sure would have been easier than the crawl. Happy as a clam and now I can sleep in.

lol monashee. By the time I got this picture, I had probably 10 failed attempts, fighting tipped over tripod and dying batteries. Amazing I got a picture at all.
