Just wondering if anyone uses hi power binoculars (20power or more) instead of a spotting scope? Im having trouble getting my eyes to focus normally after long veining sessions threw my scope and was wondering if this may be a practical solution? Of course it could be that my scope isn't the greatest in the world but I would hate to reinvest in something better just to have the same troubles.

I would ask over at birdforum.net. I'm no eye doctor but imagine it would be harder to get both eyes to focus together than one...I know I have an easier time with my range finder instead of binos??

Long glassing sessions can lead to eye strain. That's why investing in good quality glass pays off in the long run.

Some of the strain comes from keeping one eye closed . If you have a good one-eye domination you can leave the other open and still use the scope.
Or use an eye patch on the other eye to block out the scene , but leaves the eye open to wander and blink etc.

high power binos are sold with a tripod attachment for a reason ..they are big
