Cold Blooded Killing - what a load of crap!!

Yes - I agree the "dumb ass" who shot the thing should strung up and quartered - God forbid he did it with an "Assault rifle".........

VANCOUVER – A neighbourhood in Langley is in uproar over the cold-blooded killing of a deer that had become part of their community.

On Oct. 2 at about 4:45 p.m., a rare pinto deer, a member of the black-tailed deer family, was shot and killed. The deer was laying in someone’s field on 232 Street and 80 Avenue and was on private property. It is well-known to neighbours in the area and would come around often.

The deer was shot by someone who did not even get out of their vehicle.

Conservation officer Jack Trudigan says whoever shot this deer broke a number of laws and they would like to find the person.

It is illegal to shoot game from your vehicle, from a roadway and on someone’s private property. It is also illegal to have a loaded gun in your vehicle.

Officers are concerned because this incident happened in the afternoon, near several homes, and the bullet could have easily struck someone.

Trudigan says they are looking for a newer model silver Toyota pickup truck with a silver canopy and black roof racks.

If anyone has any information they are asked to contact RAPP (Report all Poachers and Polluters) at 1-877-952-7277.

This rare deer was shot and killed on Oct. 2 in Langley.

Cop interviewed on tv said it was surely "a hunter" Because of how they were able to down it quickly with one shot. Made my blood boil to hear that.

the article says, in the first two sentences that it was shot at point blank range. So anybody could point and shoot and instantly kill it, not just a hunter. Just makes us hunters look bad once again.
