Black Bear

I know many of us eat the heart and liver from deer ,moose and elk , but does anyone eat them from bears...any health reasons not to eat it

Funny you should ask, after all these years of hunting bear I recently decided to try the heart. I won't touch organ meat especially from a bear due to their varied diet,but the heart was delicious. Not very big, but very tasty.

Be careful with the whole liver thing given the close proximity to the no-go bladder (gall bladder). I wonder what a CO would begin to wonder if you had the liver with or without the gall attached - besides...liver is gross ;)
