Careful out there everyone. Lack of snow is making for treacherous conditions...

Yes, really sad. I know the guy - not very well mind you - and one of my hunting buddies hunted with the deceased just about every year. I was talking with the fellow today and he had talked to this guy right before he left for the hunt. He also talked to the fellow who was with the deceased hunter. It only takes one mistake - especially on a goat hunt this time of the year. Be careful out there.

Sad news for sure. Just takes a moment of less than 100% concentration and off you go... Condolences to family and friends.

That's horrible. I have scared myself hunting goat. Snow on the ground certainly helps keep you planted.

That's horrible, but certainly a risk while goat hunting. My condolences to his family.

I fell off a small cliff last year, arresting my fall shortly before going over a much larger cliff. It was a big wake up call for me. Taking too many risks catches up with you. Be safe out there.

Sad, sad ,sad!...condolences to family and friends.
Man!, goat hunting can definitely be a sketchy proposition.
Have scared myself a few times, glad that it kicks in ( being scared ), rather than going to far and push it beyond reasonable risk.
It only takes a small mistake, to create a serious consequence.
The 2 deaths should be obvious to all, how risky it can get up there.
Take it seriously, and be careful.
And sorry, snow can make it pretty crazy at times too.

That's why its arguable that late season goats are the most dangerous north American animal to hunt. And if you're after a mount it's also the best time of year to get them.
