I'm new to the huntingbc forum, first post.
I shot my first buck today, November 11, 2014
My firearm is a circa WW2 .303 british that i inherited from my father(he did not serve in the armed forces)
I am very pleased that these rifles are now used for sport, and not for warfare.

Hey congrats on your first Deer, hopefully many to follow.

Thanks to all you men and women presently serving our country and a special thanks to those that have already served and sacrificed for our freedom. Or we may not be out enjoying the great outdoors like we do.

A great showing today at the Aldergrove Legion and Cenotaph !

Congrats on your safe hunt,

i declined a hunt today because Its a day I cant accept is a holiday or day off (not saying anyone was wrong for doing otherwise), I gave thanks to the oldtimers in Port moody Legion 119. Just got back, a beautiful day. I still get sad thinking of what my Grandad, uncles, cousins sacraficed and saw with their eyes, my grandad fought in WW1 100 years ago.

This is my Grandad

They fought and some died, for their homeland...they fought and some died, now it's our land...look at his little child, there's no fear in her eyes, can he not show respect, for other dads who have died? Two minutes would you mind, it's a pittance of time, for the boys and the girls who went over...in peace may they rest, may we never forget why they died...it's a pittance of time...

A humble and heart felt thank you to all our veterans, past and present, and your service to our Canada...the true north is strong and free because of all of you!
