Just wondering if anyone could give me an update on how much snow there is in Pink Mountain? One week until we head up for Bison draw. The forecast looks sunny and a bit cool for the next 2 weeks (-5 to -15 but will change I'm sure) but just wondering how much snow there is right now? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Anyone have any new updates on the snow conditions up there? Also, with gas prices falling anyone know what the price of gas is in Pink Mountain?

Last I heard there was a foot, but am interested as well! Forecast doesn't look too promising for the white stuff.

Snowed 3-6 inches in the Fort St. John area last night, but I am not sure about Pink Mountain. We were up to Wonowon today and there was a little less accumulation there than in town. There were lots of sleds playing in the snow on the side of the highway.

Was up at mile 120 on Wed and there was around 14-16 inches, as was mentioned, we got 3-6" more, so possibly 20".

Now we are supposed to get sun for the next week.

Cheers

I would, but I'm not heading that way. Will be heading through Ft. Nelson to get there. Trying to decide if it's worth hauling gas the whole trip, or maybe filling up a bunch of Jerry's in Ft. Nelson. Trying to decide if it's cheaper to haul from Terrace, fill up a bunch in Ft. Nelson or just wait until Pink Mountain.

Thanks! Hope the bison are forced to leave the high stuff on or by Jan 7:-)

There is never any snow in the high stuff, it always seems to blow down in the valley bottoms. Even when there is 3 feet down bottom the hillsides are bare.
Thanks! Hope the bison are forced to leave the high stuff on or by Jan 7:-)

Interesting, so do the bison stay high then?

Well, there never seems to be a shortage of Bison down low, but you gotta figure there are some big Bulls hanging out on top of the mountains. There are certainly big elk and sheep up there. I am hoping for a ton of fresh snow so we can get up high with the sleds.

Which zone are you in?

Put the tracks on the quad and heading to pink mountain for the second half of January. Better be snow or I just wasted a bunch of money.

Heading up Jan 4th first time up, hoping for a successful hunt. Is there any point in bringing a quad or should we be good with sleds? Is there cell service in the area?

Won't be much point in a quad at that time. Mostly sleds up here now, one group of guys with a side by side from quesnel.

Pile of clowns running helter skelter on sleds though. 18" of sugar snow in some places.

Telus and bell have cell coverage there but rogers does not I know that much. Don't know about the other providers.
