Spent a couple of days at the cabin (Region 8 Princeton) for the last day of any buck during the Halloween weekend. We (the wife and I) managed to find a couple big boys right off the bat so this short trip was really quite productive. Trick or treat? I say TREAT!!! http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c109/HBC/photocopy4_zpsb9ed07fe.jpg (http://s26.photobucket.com/user/HBC/media/photocopy4_zpsb9ed07fe.jpg.html)

I meant the difference between you two hunters. One buck is split wide with the windpipe gone and the other has the smaller cut to gut only. I know guys that are fans of doing it both ways.
Once again, nice bucks. A double header is always a great day out.

Ah yes. Thing is is I dressed both of them! lol Usually do a smaller cut while on the field just to get it back to camp to hang. The one with the missing trachea and larger gut cut was the first deer shot on the previous day so I had time to "play" with it once back at the cabin/camp. The one with the trache in tact was harvested maybe 20 minutes before I took the pic so I hadn't had the time to remove it yet. All my guys get the trache removed and I hold off on the skinning until I get them home and into the cooler. and Thank you!
