Anyone else wondering where the blacktail slayer is? He's due to start a 2014 trophy blacktail thread any day now......

Where is Proguide?
He's doing what he always does.

He's got a gooder BT on the ground.
Sights set even higher now.

Gotta admire his relentless pursuit.

That was a cranker blacktail he got. Still hoping we get a lengthy HBC post from him about all the scouting and hunting he did this season.

Looking forwarding to howtohunt launching as well. He must be saving up a heck of a lot of content. Always inspiring footage.

Funny , logged on this am, first time in months. I haven't time for much online since starting some pages on FB and our web site ect , guideing , work , aaarrrgghh...... I had a FB page for blacktail deer hunting that had 11,000 members , then some douch who got skidded undermined it and we lost the page. I started another called ' blacktail deer hunting ( a howtohunt.com chapter) and its building rapidly again. Not sure I have time for a trophy blacktail hunt on here this year...:icon_frow

Here's 147" bruiser from few days ago. Lots of video !!

I was out poking around the Squamish-Pemberton area the other day hoping to see a blacktail or two and I had the same thoughts. I really enjoyed reading his extensive and detailed posts last year and before, and wondered why we haven't heard from him.

Oh, now that I have read the other posts in the thread and followed the link to How to Hunt, I see what he is up to. looks very interesting!

Insane. I thought I had some awesome guys on my trail camera (seen each of the big boys once this last week as the rut hits, but never been able to close in with the bow on them yet) but this guy makes them seem like juveniles. Wow.

Was talking to a couple guys about how nice this blacktail was and one said he thought is must be a hybrid {sp?} as he has never seen a BT deer that big. I told him that back in the 70's my dad and his friends used to hunt Copper Canyon on the Island and huge bodied BT's were the norm, there was always a hunter or two that bagged a brute similar to this. I remember one day in particular where my dad and his partner brought home a 5 point and a 6 point from the B11 area that were just humongous BT deer....... I think the people saying talking about the "hybrid" thing must just be jealous.

Nice deer Steve, looking forward to the video as usual so please, hurry your ass up will ya lol.

p.s. Sorry to hear about the knob that screwed your FB page up....

Wow, normally don't add my atta boy to a bunch atta boys but that is an awesome blacktail! I was showing the pic to the guys at work while we were waiting around and although they don't know too much about blacktails I've educated them a bit and they were pretty impressed! More so with the body size than the horns....Awesome BT!
