After all of the rain yesterday (Nov 3,2014), does anyone know the condition of the Squamish River FSR main. The last update from the BC government, road information for the Sea to Sky District (http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/dsq/engineering/roadinformation.htm) indicated a closure at 24km (Terminal Creek). The update was from Oct 31.

Planning on heading up on the weekend and would appreciate any info about conditions (e.g. washouts).

Thank you.
Cheers,
Morel

I was up there on Sunday (November 2nd) and the road was open as far as I went (to Km 40). There we some areas where the road was failing but unless something changed yesterday with the rain you should be good to go.

About 35k up elaho it got pretty rocky and some creeks were running over on the 2nd. I was in 2wd but woulda gone through if i had 4x4. I went up to Elaho on the 2nd as well and squamish valley fsr was in great shape.

there were trees everywhere...big ones, small ones. There were clouds in the sky, it rained and then stopped

With rain coming down right now and rain warning in effect you might see some washouts. I am always concerned about Mud Creek as it washes out frequently.
Squamish river level is low enough, I don't think it is going to flood the road even in low lying areas.
