Hey, anyone hunt around the Mt Baldy area. I'm heading there next week end to a family friends cabin and I don't know the area. Just looking for some general ideas/directions...nothing specific

Thanks

I was through there once but just passed by, looks like a decent area but did not spend much time just cruised through for something to do.

I dont hunt there much lots of hunters do. truthfully on the way to the hill lots of roads just start looking there will be snow up there then just look for tracks. Wapiti is a a good start close to hill new logging.

Thanks guy. Looks like a good area from Goggle earth, but never been there, so just looking for a road or 2 to start on and hopefully get out and walk around a bit...but I'm going in blind.

Thanks again

Nice country but the road systems get hit very hard , park your truck find a good spot and sit you will get your whitetail .
Good luck .

Lots of road hunters. Elk earlier in the season and the odd moose. Seams like more white tail around.Get off the road and head in the woods. Used to shoot rabbits around there. They should be white by now. Good luck.

Generally Mulies up top whitetails down low. I killed my first deer in that area, a whitetail. Seems like there are more of them. Back when I hunted it there were areas in whitetail country that were just loaded with sign. There were some nice areas off the power/gas lines where the forest thinned out. We head in there a few times but never connected. But loaded with sign.

Lots of whitetail still left there. Hit the canyon and as some one else mentioned work the gas line and power lines.
