I find myself not liking the sound my calls make. I have tried tuning and trimming but made things worse!
I haven't spent much on any calls 15-25$ primos, lohman and a faulks

after listening to the real deal all day at work i know mine calls are probably working against me

i am looking for suggestions, brand and model would be appreciated and what application it worked best in, field, open water/salt, soft calling

thank you in advance

Why don't you record some sounds and post them here.

I wouldn't give you 2 cents for a Faulk or Lohman. The Primos Original Wench isn't bad. For the best across the counter calls I gotta say Buck Gardener has it hands above the rest. I have the Big Water, Mallard Hammer, and Double Nasty ll and they all sound really good and are fairly easy to blow. I also have their Canada Hammer, Gander Hammer and Grey Ghost goose calls and am happy with those as well. For custom calls get ahold of Blacktail on this site he makes a good call.

I'm a newbie caller but seem to be able to make the birds turn with the Double Nasty 11 (thanks Foxton)... I also like the Primos HighRoller for soft calling.

Buy yourself a Rich-n-Tone or a JJ Lares and you'll be happy

It's been my experience that the RnTs are not that easy for a beginner to blow I have no experience with a Lares so I can't say there

a big part of calling is your air supply, some calls respond to more air rather then less and vice versa. if you can find a place that will let you test a few that is best. try giving Stillwater sports in ladner a call and see if this works for them .I have seen some guys try different calls there .they have promos and blacktail calls there as well as others...fowl

RNT QuackHead and Buck Gardner Double Nasty calls. I always laugh at my friend's $150.00 duck calls does not pulled the ducks and better than my $25.00 duck calls.
