Well we are heading into the back country for a couple days of goat hunting. Got the horses ready to load up and heading out in the morning. Hope to find a good mulie as a bonus. 16 km into the lake so hope it works out and we get a couple of goats. Got the 7mm shooting tiny little groups and so far this year it is perfect on deer so here's hopping that it works on the Goats too.

Getting late for a horse hunt into goat country. Be careful.

it is a long flat road closure so not to risky. 16 km to the lake then hunt on foot. Lots of goats in the area should be out in 2-3 days. I will take a few pictures it is a beautiful spot. up the Elk Valley north of Elkford.

Sounds like a "hell of a hunt" - hope you get a nice big billy after all the effort.

You must be drawn for 4-23B. My son and I were both drawn for 4-23b. My son shot his first goat and I'm still looking for mine( missed a big Billie in iron creek).

Well the weather was good but going to snow so we only got one day in but we saw 20 plus goats, no big billies, nannies and kids small billies. Still it was a great day 34 plus km in the saddle and on foot. When we got back to the trailer I almost couldn't get off the horse.
