Whipsaw, Lamont, cool creek forest service roads

Anyone hunt these roads before? Thinking about heading there for a day just cruise the roads get a lay of the land and scout on foot areas that look good? Look for bucks, and grouse, assuming much more rare to see Huns, pheasant and quail but I'll keep my eyes out and shoot me if I see one? Any info would be appreciated but I'm going anyways so will give a update when I return

I think you should be prepared for snow.

I was up there last weekend, not to busy. But, if it was me...I'd head up behind the mine!

Hunted whipsaw all last weekend. Was snowing sideways and tons of trucks.. Couldn't even get a cut block to myself. The deer are barricaded up in the timber for the most part. Dad managed to knock down a two point up there but it's been pounded with hunters this season. X2 on heading up behind the mine.
