What an amazing look into the lives of mule deer, and crazy how emotionally invested he becomes.

That is quite something to see the trust level he achieved.

Great video the level of dedicating this guy has for deer is unreal. Really makes me look differently at mule deer and their family groups.

Yeah it's quite something. He's also done something similar with wild Turkeys.

Interesting film. Thanks for sharing. I think what he's done is pretty cool on many levels but I'm not sure its a humans place to be living amongst a heard of wild animals. Looks to be a great place to live that's for sure.

And now I'm supposed to feel good about going out and shooting one? Pretty amazing to see but toward the end it appears that he may be a lttle more emotionally involved then is healthy.

I know, for me it definately reinforces the importance of taking a clean, ethical shot. I agree, it reminds me a lot of Timmothy Tredwell and the grizzlies, with the crazy turned dowm a few notches.

Very good quality footage .

I wonder how much food he gave them over the years to gain their acceptance .

For the past two years we had as many as six deer in our yard feeding on the clover at one time , some bed down right in the open . The boss deer is a bigger doe . One little button buck is the tamest of them all , he will approach within six feet to get some apple pieces . Probably could hand feed him but that is not a good idea so i toss the food before he comes too close . From early September they are more wary , then after the rut they are out in the open again .
