This is my first try to post a pic, hopefully it worked
Here is the moose my father and I got.
Best part of it was when my 70+ year old father got up to the moose, looked at the moose then at me and said I do not think I can help you too much. He did a good job helping me. He even took orders from me.... That was amazing
After we were finished. He looked at me and said you know what you are doing and then said he really want a smoke. He stopped smoking Jan 1, 2014. He smoked for over 40 years.
My father stopped hunting when he moved to BC. This was his first he did in BC.
Yes the moose dropped on the road.. Very lucky, if not it would have been more work for me.

Nice work! Right on the road, too. I've got one close to a road, and every other one needed hauling. Cool rack. It's interesting how much they can vary.

Hey. Sarg. It was nice meeting you and your hunting group.
All the hunting/ fishing groups at the camp sites were great to camp near.

That is a nice looking bull. No grey, no large spike tines. lots of black. I would guesstimate his age at somewhere between 5 and 7 years. Good eats there.
Maybe me and the boys will get lucky this weekend.

To be able to have your Father along to be part of that hunt is Fantastic! And to get a Bull on the road is just plainly not fare, I always though a guy had to shoot them about 2 and a half miles behind a swamp with 3 foot deep skidder tracks criss crossing every bloody inch of wet ground to be a real Moose hunt? I guess you guys did it the right way! Good Job!

did you give him a smoke?

did you give him a smoke?

That reminds me of when I shot my grizz. A smoke was the first thing my dad wanted( must have been excited or nervous ) I told him it was getting dark and we had to find a wounded grizz and didn't have time for smoking.

did you give him a smoke?
No he did not have one, but he did have some wine

BTW the moose was divided 3 ways... Even though the day of the kill only two were hunting. Its was beyond the his control and could not go hunting until a few days later.

Nice work. We dropped one on the road this year as well, certainly made it easier but there's still lots of work.

Hey Gord.. Good job on the deer. Have you taken your wife out? We got the moose on the third day of the hunt. We stayed up there for 8 days total.
I'm taking the wife out to 3-12 for a hunt. She finally want to get a deer, instead of shooting paper ( no pressure eh). I then have to take my father out to help him fill his doe tag, also going to 3-12.
