I figured I would be proactive with new legislation coming into effect.I know lots will rant personal choice no CO's in the bush anyway why bother.Anyways this G max hunter camo helmet fits nice and does not interfear with stock or scope[my main concern].Should also help too keep head warm in colder weather.I also like the ear covers zip on and off as with them on sounds are muffled somewhat. At least there is a decent choice out there.Price was $89.I ordered from my local dealer as its not something they stock YET.Happy Hunting!!

If you want to be in compliance it's probably a good choice

Good on you. I too have a camo helmet that I can shoot with. I don't do up the chin strap so I can take it off in a second as well.

Is it DOT or Snell rated?

I bought a quick release buckle at hole shot awhile back and it says it doesn't change DOT rating

Just DOT rated
That's good enough. Good find and good on you for being proactive.

Does it come with a face shield? It won't be warm if it's open faced.

you shoot the correct way with a shotty, but backwards with a rifle?
or just showing both views of the lid?

None that I know of ,my face is cold when I just have a touque on.Might have to invest in a windshield.

Just showing both ways .I shoot lefty off my left shoulder.I wanted too make sure it had lots of clearance for scopes, stocks both ways.I'm going for a quick morning hunt in the am and will try the new lid.

Everyone should join the church of the flying spaghetti monster... then you could wear a colendar on your head. Can't argue with religion and it is just as ridiculous as wearing a helmet while hunting

Good choice in a helmet, I have one that is the same but in black for street riding I also have a 3/4 helmet with a full shield and pop up sun visor which will work to, not looking forward to having to wear it in the woods.

The one drawback I see is the camo. Could make it hard to find if it was misplaced.........

Tried it out hunting today .Keeps your head nice and warm and since I wear a MX style helmet when summer quading it feels natural.Nice and light weight plus ears stay warm with covers in place.Fits easy into quad box as well.

I don't see the big deal really... I did two tours overseas hunting people and wore a helmet most of the time. That was in 40+ heat at times.

I do agree that a full face is a bit much.

But I also don't ATV much, usually it's two feet and a heart beat....

Nothing like riding when the fine sleet is beating the crap out of your eyeballs and face. Face shield is very welcome then. And that is from experience.

I bought a helmet like that about 5 or 6 years ago, but it was black in color. I think I've only used it once, but it's there for when the "legislation" goes into effect. I bought a can of krylon brown camo spray paint from crappy tire and gave the lid a color face lift.

Looks to me like you've got bad neighbours on both sides.
