Does anyone know of a good Taxidermist in the Lower Mainland?
There used to be one on the North side of Kingsway just before Boundary Rd in Burnaby but I heard it caught on fire.:icon_frow

Shut down some time back....now operate out of a warehouse/barn in a residential area of Richmond. I'll take the heat for saying this but would not recommend; work on just mounting some antlers was 'fine' but slow. Trying to get a hold of anyone was excruciating; I would not feel confident giving them a trophy and my money.

Have seen work by both mentioned above and both are excellent!

I got my dad and ganders to do all my work. My dad hasn't been into taxidermy for quite some time.

I've seen Ray's work and have always been impressed. Can't go wrong with either.

Thanks all, my old man used them years ago but sounds like once the son of the owner took over everything went down hill. I will try these two.:)

I know it isn't the lower mainland but it is close. Talk to Ken at Wild Images, he is out of Duncan and does a lot of work for guys off the island. His work is unreal, he is really picky and really creative which is good for us. He is on this site.

Frank isn't retired yet, but he is winding down. He will still take work from existing clients, but is not taking on new clients. He will be relocating his business to his home, I believe early next year, and will continue doing shoulder mounts and birds but no rugs or life size animals. As mentioned above, his work is excellent.
