Ferry is faster. Road around the lake I don't find bad but I don't haul a trailer

Haha, on the ferry right now ;) taking my moose to the butcher at grassy plains, if you happen to be looking for a butcher, iv herd good things about the guy that set up shop there. As for travel, yup take the ferry, the road around the head of the lake is a nice drive, but rough and slow. Sorry iv never hunted around uncha so can't help you out, but have fished it, good char fishing usually. Good luck!

its been years since Ive been to Uncha, but I always remember the big open hillsides that boarder the one side of the lake. I would imagine thats some great hiking. Not sure if the deer populations have rebounded in that area yet, or if the fires were there though. Hope you brought a canoe and a rod, some good fishing there too. Seen a fair number of bears in that area years ago.

Just remember it's pronounced "Francis" and not the Frenchy "Francios" and you'll do fine with the locals :D

I have several buddies that live along the north shore towards Nora Lee and they all call it "Francios" and none of them are French. Reckon it makes 'em feel bi-lingual, lol. Whatcha hunting Phil?
