We are heading out from Abbotsford at noon on Saturday Oct 18th heading to PG moose hunting. Usually stop around LacLahache area to sleep. Quite often the Provincial campground right on the highway is open still . Does anyone know if the gates are still open for overnight stops? Too old now to drive through the night. Been there done that too often,no more...

thanks,
Steve

Push to 150 Mile, turn right and head to Dugan Lake, no gate, and only 5km off Hwy 97. www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca

We went North on October 3 and the gate was open and then south on October 10 and the gate was open still. Historically it is closed October 1. My guess it is closed now. If you go up the highway 20 -25 minutes you can camp at Chief Willyum (spelling?). It is on the right about 10 minutes before Williams lake. You go up the hill just past the gas station. I think it is about 15 bucks for the night. Big grassy area and quite.
