I got an unexpected day off today and thought I would hit one of my favorite haunts.Not much of a story I headed out on my quad looking for a Pepperoni Buck[down to about 12 sticks].Got up into and old burned out area with dead fireweed that I have seen mulys in.First deer I saw was a decent buck but by the time I adjusted my out of focus binos he was booking!I slowly continued up the road and picked out 3 does watching to see if anything with horns appeared.After watching them wander away I spotted some as s es to my left and then out pops this guy.By the time I got off my ATV and chambered a round he was out of sight but I new he was headed my direction and then his head and little antlers appeared in my scope and the 25WSSM went boom,instant drop and no wasted meat.Warm day today I headed home and boned him out and brought it to the butcher as I have 3 more busy work days.Good little warm up,next I have to help neighbour and my son get a buck,then trophy time. New Quad is no virgin now it got blood on it.

Thanks for the compliments.I bought a new 270 X bolt in Carbon fluted for spike fork season.Since they all but killed that I went back too my trusty shorter A bolt 25WSSM.I love this little deer rifle I have probably shot 30 Bucks with this gun,it just flat out works and no recoils.2" shorter too carry on the quad.Thanks for compliments on my set up its a 2014 Canam 650 XT Camo,1.5" lift 26" bearclaw HTR tires,STI HD rims.I bought it from Reicherts in Tulameen.Great people to deal with,old fasioned service.I was glad to get blood on the new ATV.Happy hunting Ryan!!
