Double header!!

Well dad and I headed out Saturday afternoon for a deer hunt after he just got back from a two week moose hunt which I usually go on every year but work was a bit hectic this year making it difficult to leave these yahoo's alone for two weeks so I stayed home. Left the house at 3 pm up to one of our many decent spots just a quick 30 mins down the highway and up the hill. I went for a couple walks in different " honey holes" where I have my cameras set up with lots of pics nothing too big but I was quite pleased with all the different game whiteys muleys black bears a Grizz and cougar surprisingly. Decided after a couple good hikes only seeing a few whitetail does that we would do a bit of road hunting and head down to an area that we usually do quite well in. Earlier on dad spotted a couple on my side and I returned the favor pointing out a couple does he missed on his side lol. It's closer to 6:20 pm now and we slowly crawl into this cut block and at the back corner I spot two deer with their tails fleeing the scene we both get the bino's on them and right away dad says the left ones a buck!! I get out ask for an approximate range he bursts out 250 yards BANG flop the deer disappears out of my scope. Dad jumps out of the truck as the other ones running I put my optics on it to clearly verify that its also a buck. Not less than a couple seconds later the deer stops to look back at his buddy dad squeezes the trigger the second buck drops and now the work begins. I moved very quick trying to beat the light within 40 minutes I had both deer gutted dragged to the road in the truck and we were on our way after a couple quick pictures we ended up ranging the spot at 239 yards which was my farthest animal shot to date I was pretty pumped! Because I didnt go up north this year an already being October 4th I decided I was going to take a small deer for the freezer which is going to be awful tasty!! A 4x4 whitey and dad shot the 2x2 both small. I have already passed on half a dozen whitetail this year and close to the same in 4 point Muleys with alot more to walk on me in the next 3 months. The one I shot last year was ALOT bigger !! But the freezer is filling up with no complaints ! Im on my phone so it won't let me post a picture ... Yaya didn't happen right just like the pig lol someone email me and I'll send a picture or 2 to post on here cheers!

No worries I never really ended up posting an introduction with a joke ect so I thought a few pics with sum up a little bit up about me and my passion for hunting the whitetail with the bow I rattled in got him on video and every moose you see there I called in or my dad did right to the road .... Don't want to work too hard with those big animals!!

Up north gos the moose don't get that big around here :p my friend had an leh shot a 52 inch Shiras locally and they said can't score as a Shiras above the border what a bunch of bs passed up on a couple more deer yesterday
