Hey all. So I'm not used to hunting in the warmer weather of the Okanogan, and I'm wondering if it effects the rut times, feeding patterns, and best time of year to hunt. I ask because I am used to hunting in the northern Alberta climate, and am curious to see if there are many differences.

won't affect the actual rut timing but hot weather makes it seem like its delayed because they will be more active at night when its cooler and less active during the day.

Hey junkyard.
when you heading to the Okanagan. I am heading there in about 1 week. for 7 days, I usually head up to west of Williams lake around Stevens back yard.
but trying something different this year.
MU 3 mainly but a little MU 8 as well.

In my view, deer are as affected by weather as you or I are. They just have a real need to get up and eat and take care of business regardless of what the weather is doing... just like we need to go to work. The only difference is they are not on a clock.
